Meet Carly Moncrief
Attorney. Trial Advocate. Fellow Lawyer in Your Corner. Carly Moncrief is a Florida and Washington D.C. licensed attorney with a decade of hands-on criminal defense experience. She built Yonder Law to give fellow attorneys the skilled, experienced backup they need to go further for their clients.
Her Background
Before attending a top-50 law school in Bloomington, Indiana, Carly worked on political campaigns and developed a deep interest in governmental affairs, civics, and messaging. That background in persuasion and communication has informed everything she does in the courtroom and on the page.
Her Experience
Carly has spent the last decade fighting for the most vulnerable members of our community, personally defending thousands of misdemeanor, felony, and traffic cases and bringing many to jury trial. She has authored dozens of sophisticated appellate briefs, post-conviction motions, and legal memoranda across multiple areas of law. In 2024, she received the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division's 36 Under 36 Professionalism Award.
Her Passion for the Profession
A devoted student of jury and voter psychology, Carly has given accredited CLE presentations on jury selection. She is an active Lawyers Advising Lawyers Advisor and former Florida Bar Mentor who genuinely loves helping attorneys navigate their careers. When she is not working, you can find her exploring St. Petersburg with her husband, two kids, and their giant Rhodesian Ridgeback, hunting for vintage finds, or listening to audiobooks.
